2019 Academic Scholarships

Scholarship Testing for the 2019 Academic Year has been confirmed for Saturday, 3 March 2018. The testing will run from 8:45am to 12:30pm in Heyward Hall, Braemar College.
Braemar College offers four academic scholarships; two are offered at Year 7 and two at Year 10. Eligibility is open to all Australian resident students who will complete Year 6 or Year 9 in 2018, regardless of their enrolment status.
The scholarships provide a 40% remission of the Total Annual Fees and Charges for the remainder of the student’s enrolment at Braemar College. Current scholarship holders are not eligible to gain another scholarship.

Braemar College uses an independent testing authority, Academic Assessment Services, to conduct the scholarship examinations. Academic Assessment Services have been providing academic assessment services for schools for more than forty years and were chosen for the following reasons:

  • Assessments are designed using higher-order items to distinguish students of higher ability.
  • Tests are administered, scored and reported by Academic Assessment Services ensuring complete impartiality on the part of the College.
  • The use of multiple testing formats which avoids any practice advantage.
  • Test results are at all times secure and confidential.

All applications must be registered online using the the AAS Scholarship Registration page. The charge is $110 per candidate.
Applications close at 4pm on Wednesday 21 February 2018.
All young people are encouraged to consider the scholarship opportunity at Braemar College.
