Looking for donations – House Art Competition

Early this term we will have our next House Competition; the House Chess and Art Competition.

Scheduled for Tuesday 20 July, the House Chess and Art Competition will be hosted at the Woodend Campus and is always a great, interactive day full of fun challenges. In an effort to make sure we can reuse/recycle wherever possible, we’re asking for donations for a range of different bits and pieces that can be used for the competition. The list below outlines some examples of materials that would be very useful and greatly appreciated.

    • Old clothes, hats, belts, gloves, headbands/bandannas, etc.
    • Fabric/material scraps
  • Wool
  • String (coloured)
  • Cardboard tubes (e.g. aluminium foil or postage tubes – not toilet rolls)
  • Cardboard boxes (of all sizes)
  • Polystyrene shapes
  • Safety pins
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Buttons
  • Tape (sticky, electrical, etc.)
  • Cellophane/tissue paper
  • Other small items that you might take to an op shop
  • Coloured textas
  • Ice-cream containers and lids
  • Old paint brushes

If you have any of these pieces that you’re willing to donate; please leave them at reception at either the Mount Macedon or Woodend Campus during the first week of Term 3.
If you have any questions about donations, you can contact our Head of Ward House, Chris Simpson (c.simpson@braemar.vic.edu.au), or Head of Darling House, Jess Scobell (j.scobell@braemar.vic.edu.au) for more information.

Hopefully this provides a great opportunity to de-clutter a little from home while also supporting our upcoming competition.
We thank you in advance for the support!
