Year 8 Exeat – Grampians

On Monday 30 October, our Year 8s headed to the Grampians for their Exeat Camp. The students stayed at three campsites; Tandarra, Acacia, and an overnight tent camp in the State Forrest.
There was a focus on Indigenous Art and the students even completed one of their geography assignments on the camp at the top of Boronia peak.
The camp included hiking to the Pinnacles and Boronia Peak, as well as abseiling, rock climbing, mountain biking, and high and low ropes courses.
The camp was very physical and saw a lot of personal challenges for the students including overcoming fears (especially for those who don’t like heights) and going a week without mobile phones; but overall, they all managed some amazing achievements and had a great time doing so!
