Special Guest
At the end of April, our Year 9/10 High Performance class were very lucky to have a special guest speaker in Old Collegian, Linden Hall. Linden’s visit came straight off the back of competing at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. Linden is an elite 1500m track athlete; she finished 13th at the Rio Olympics and narrowly missed out on a medal at the recent Commonwealth Games after finishing fourth.
Linden is also a qualified dietician and she was able to speak to the class about nutrition for young athletes as well as her training regime, how she controls her nerves when competing, and about recovery techniques. Linden answered a variety of questions from the class and gave out some Commonwealth Games pins to a few lucky students.
The class were very grateful and excited to hear from a professional athlete about her life and her career – especially one who is an Old Collegian!
