Gifts from Tokai City
This week we received some beautiful gifts from our friends in Tokai City, Japan.
Each year we usually welcome a group of students from Tokai, along with some teacher representatives, to the College for a week. It’s always a wonderful experience for everyone involved; both our students and theirs have a great time learning about each other’s culture and exchanging stories. Sadly, this year the visit was cancelled.
We received a warm letter from the Mayor of Tokai City, Atsuo Suzuki, wishing us health and happiness and explaining that these gifts would have been delivered by the Tokai students to give to their new friends as a sign of friendship. We are very much looking forward to next year, when we hope to recommence our traditions with Tokai.
