Year 7 Exeat Week

A couple of weeks ago, our Year 7 students ventured off on their first ever Braemar College Exeat Week. They spent the whole week in Anglesea completing a number of different exciting activities and games, split across two campsites: Araluen and Coastal Forest Lodge. On the Wednesday, the two groups came together for a whole group Surf Carnival! The activities of the week included body boarding, surfing, orienteering, going on art/drawing trips, group initiatives (team work exercises), archery, kayaking, mini golf, volleyball, completing a low ropes course, and visiting an estuary.
The week was a great success, with an emphasis on the students enjoying themselves, getting to know one another across their year level, and having a go at new – and possibly daunting – group activities. The entire group learnt invaluable skills in team work and had a lot of fun in the process!
