Year 12 Formal

Friday 16 June saw our Year 12 cohort descend on Ascot House in Ascot Vale for our annual Year 12 Formal. Bedecked in their finest, and looking conspicuously better-groomed than they sometimes do for school, the group enjoyed a night of good food, excellent conversation, and even better boogie-ing.
The event is an important one in the Braemar calendar as it provides a chance for students to celebrate their achievements so far in Unit 3, and to let their hair down before they resume more serious studies for Unit 4. It provided a moment where the students could pause and reflect on just how quickly this crucial year will pass. The staff who attended – as well as the Ascot House staff – were enormously proud of their good attitudes and behaviour (a given), but also of the way in which they are assuming their places as intelligent, thoughtful, and well-rounded young adults.
A particular thanks to Mr Warner and the Formal Committee for their hard work in putting together what was again a wonderful night for the Year 12s.
