Women’s Leadership Conference

Last week a group of our Year 9/10 girls attended a women’s leadership conference with Ms Kelly Smith called HERstory. The conference was run by Cobaw Community Health and saw female students from Braemar, Sacred Heart Kyneton, Kyneton Secondary College, Gisborne Secondary College, Castlemaine Secondary College, and Bullengarook Specialist School (Sunbury and Macedon Ranges Specialist School) come together to hear speakers from inspirational young women who have been leaders in areas including technology and STEM, climart change activism, LGBTQI support, and youth ambassadors.

After hearing from the speakers, the students brainstormed their own ‘action plan’ for change that they wanted to see in their schools.

Our students were really motivated and excited by everything they heard; it was a really great day out!
