Mountain Bike Orienteering

Last month, a team of sixty students from Year 7-12 attended the Victorian Schools Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships at the You Yangs. With beautiful sunny skies and a slight breeze, the conditions were perfect. All competitors completed the same course navigating to a total of twenty-six controls in a two hour time limit. A number of students teamed up to work together to find the controls while others tackled the course on their own.

The day was a great success with many students finding all twenty-six controls and placing in their division. Braemar were announced the winning school on the day, and Tasma Eddy and Eliza Arumet-Smith (Year 12) collected the trophy on behalf of the College. Both students have competed at the Championships for a number of years. Well done to all students who competed on the day!
