Reach Workshops

Sometimes being a teenager is tough, no matter what’s going on in your life. The team at Reach are there to help.

Our Year 5s and 6s recently had a number of facilitators from Reach come to the College and host workshops for them. The Reach website describes the workshops as “safe and supportive spaces where teenagers can connect and share stories honestly; spaces where they can experience belonging, discover their strengths, and build their self-efficacy and resilience.

It was great to see our young people embracing the workshops and getting involved in the conversations with their peers.

Reach’s youth-led workshops create safe and non-judgmental spaces where young people can express themselves and connect with peers and positive role models. The workshops encourage young people to experience feeling a range of emotions including – reflective, optimistic, quiet, tearful, inspired. Each of the facilitators are trained to manage these emotions in young people.
