Queen’s Scout Recipients

On Saturday 8 May, Mr Deer attended a presentation to witness Alison Stockdale (Year 11) and Sarah McCrae (Old Collegian, 2020) receive their Queen’s Scout Awards. Many current and past Braemar students and families were present, and both Alison and Sarah spoke beautifully about their journey through to achieving the award.

The King’s Scout/Queen’s Scout Award is the peak Venturer Scouts award and has an outstanding reputation within scouting and the community. In order to achieve the award, a Venturer Scout must complete a variety of activities, demonstrating required attributes and abilities, and reaching significant milestones.

In Victoria, the Queen’s Scout award maintains its prestige, with only around 5% of Venturer Scouts each year achieving the award.

Congratulations to Alison and Sarah on this fantastic achievement.
