Enrolments

The College is proud of its open access policy, which operates without regard to religious, academic, physical, or racial circumstances.

The enrolment process normally commences approximately 21 months prior to the proposed year of entry.
An offer of enrolment is prioritised according to the following criteria:

  1. Any sibling of a student currently enrolled at Braemar College.
  2. Any child of a Braemar College employee.
  3. Any child of a Braemar College Old Collegian.
  4. The order of application date, as recorded by the College’s student management system.

The Principal has discretion regarding all enrolment matters.

If you are interested in having your child attend Braemar College, click here to complete an online expression of interest.

If you have any questions, contact our College Registrar, Michelle Fazekas, at registrar@braemar.vic.edu.au

Students are transported to both of our College Campuses by bus as part of the conveyance arrangements administered by Public Transport Victoria. Transportation is provided through Organ’s Coaches in Kyneton. Details of the bus routes are available from the Organ’s website.

Late Buses

A limited late bus service is available on specific evenings. For more information, contact College reception.

Canteen - The Tuckshop & FoodVan

At Braemar College, we have a Tuckshop, located on our Mount Macedon Campus that services our Senior School students, and a Food Van, which is based on our Woodend Campus and provides lunch and snack options for our Middle School students.

Both the Tuckshop and the Food Van are managed internally and provide a range of home-made, health-conscious snacks and meals for our young people.

For more information on the Tuckshop and Food Van, click here.

Uniform Shop

The College Uniform Shop is managed by Noone Imagewear.

There is an online shop, where orders can ordered for delivery or they can be purchased as ‘click and collect’ and picked up from the College.

Click here to find out more about our Uniform Shop including the current price list, opening hours, contact details, and links to our online store and Facebook Buy, Swap, Sell page.

Reports and Parent Teacher Conferences

We strive to keep students and parents informed of student progress on an ongoing basis via SEQTA, our online learning management system.

Each child receives a Semester Report and a termly assessment for each subject titled “Learning Attitudes and Competencies”. In unison, these are designed to provide parents and carers with an academic summary of their child/ren. Reports and other communication are shared with parents via SEQTA.

Parent/teacher conferences are conducted each semester.

Communication

Every student’s Braemar College experience is a collaboration between students, parents and staff where high levels of communication are vital. We do our best to keep you informed of what’s happening around the College and, in particular, with your child.

Information about current and future College activities is provided through various means.

  • The Braemar Bulletin is a weekly text-based newsletter containing notices about events and happenings.
  • The Braemar Buzz is a monthly online newsletter. It included updates from the Principal, Heads of School and other leaders and teachers.
  • The Braemar College Blog curates stories that are shared with the broader community.
  • The Turning Circle is our student-written newsletter made available to all students and staff.

Other sources of information include this website, our College Calendar, our social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram and our Learning Management System, SEQTA.

Finally, the College uses SMS updates for urgent updates, especially Emergency Management updates.

Scholarships

Braemar College currently offers Academic Scholarships for entry at Years 7 and 10 to current and potential students.

Please follow the link to register for Scholarships

They are generally awarded based on the results of the examination held earlier the previous year. The examinations are conducted by Academic Assessment Services (AAS), however the Principal has discretion regarding all enrolment matters.

Braemar College scholarships are:

  • open to students who would be in Years 6 or 9 at the time of the examination;
  • for the provision of 40% remission of the total annual fees and charges for a student;
  • tenable for six years, upon entry at Year 7; and
  • tenable for three years, upon entry at Year 10.

For further information regarding scholarships, applications, or testing, contact the College Registrar, Michelle Fazekas, via email at registrar@braemar.vic.edu.au or by calling (03) 5427 9161.

Fees

Braemar’s fees include all travel to and from the College Campuses as well as all standard excursion, activity, and camp fees.

For a current list of all applicable fees and charges, and more information about inclusions, exclusions, and discounts, click here.

College Service Scheme

The College Service Scheme was first introduced in 1976 and allowed parents to engage with the College and become involved in their child’s school.

The scheme was also designed to enable parents to save a portion of their fees by contributing working hours towards maintenance, upgrades and activities at the College. Alternatively, parents could pay the fee in lieu of working the hours.

Our College Service scheme has been remodelled in 2023 to ensure compliance with the Victorian Child Safe Standards (July 2022).

We aim to have opportunities for parents and carers to engage in a range of activities in 2025. The exact details are being finalised and will be communicated when finalised.
